The cast
Charles was the first Roane to come to the US. He as born in 1640 at Chaldon Surrey England. I think that William was his son. However, there is some information suggesting that there was a son, Robert, in between. Regardless, Charles moved to Gloucester County, which is just north of Williamsburg. His father gave him 600 pounds for the journey to America. According to land records, Charles bought 2,500 acres in Petsworth Parish. Charles married Frances and probably had two sons, William and Robert. A lot of documents were destroyed in Bacon's Rebellion in Virginia.
