Captain William Roane
Cpt William Roane was born in Essex Virginia and lived in Gloucester. He represented Essex in the Virginia Assembly. He was a captain in this British colony. He married Sarah Upshaw. Cpt Roane had six children: Thomas, John, Col. William, Mary, Sarah, Lucy.
